SUMMARY
The developer will work within a team environment to build custom web-based tools and database applications for
enterprise, small business, non-profit, and government clients. Client projects include: content management systems,
real time e-commerce, online registration, online marketing, and customer relationship management systems. Opportunities exist for work on
short and long-term client engagements.
DESCRIPTION
Create and maintain database-driven web applications.
Integrate online applications with client back-end systems.
Maintain internal web-based tools.
Test and debug applications.
Research and experiment with new technologies.
Work with team members to help translate client needs into design/application specifications.
Work with design staff to develop detailed prototypes and web interfaces for all applications.
Work with database administrator to design, build, and optimize SQL Server databases.
Work directly with clients to finalize application requirements.
LOCATION
This position may provide telecommuting opportunities if selected candidate demonstrates
appropriate resources and capacity to work from home and maintain access to organizational resources (e-mail, telephone
system, development environment, etc.) via the Internet.
This position is open to candidates across the United States.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must possess:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years experience with *nix development, HTML, MySQL server, PHP, JavaScript
- Experience working with and maintaining existing source code
- Complex problem solving skills and in-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming
- Experience working in a team environment on large projects
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to take direction and execute complex development tasks independently
- Ability to juggle multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines
